MEET THE COLOR PEOPLE

JAMES MARTIN is a leading authority on the use of color in Architecture and is on the forefront of the colorist movement. He founded The Color People in 1979 designing color schemes for Victorian houses. Having noticed that attractive Victorians sold better than others, he has emphasized using color as a marketing tool ever since. He has been an active member of Color Marketing Group, the international group which forecasts and tracks color trends, for over a decade and has served on their Board of Directors. His focus currently is on commercial and larger architectural projects, product color consulting, and international color design.

MEGAN SCHLEGEL specializes in designing color schemes for our Historic and residential home owners. She is a graduate of the University of Colorado and has been with The Color People since 2001 apprenticing under James and becoming an expert in color as well as Victorian Architecture. Megan is a woman of perception and talent who, besides being an excellent colorist, is especially apt at listening to people and making their homes just what they want.

We are also pleased to introduce you to Fido, ace office dog. Actually his name is Fi-Do-Do—you Cajuns will get it. Fido is a Border Collie and keeps things light around here. There is no truth to the rumor that he picks the colors.
